After falling short last week in Pittsburgh, our Nittany Lions return home to host a team they have seen much success with in the history of the series (39-4-1). Unfortunately, one of those four Owl victories occurred last year, ending the longest losing streak in FBS at 39 games that spanned 74 years. When comes to playing at home in University Park, Penn State has never lost to the Owls.

This weekend in Happy Valley, a variety of events will take place marking the 50th anniversary of Joe Paterno’s first game at Penn State, which lead to The Grand Experiment concept (wherein Coach Paterno believed that a school could have quality academic and quality athletics without sacrificing one for the other, and also teach young men the skills necessary to succeed in life).  Media is reporting more than 500 lettermen will travel to Penn State this weekend to take part in these activities. This Saturday’s game against Temple, which is fittingly coached by PSU letterman Matt Rhule.

Come on Saturday, September 17, 2016 for the noon start, feast on some good food as our Lions feast on some poultry.

Once again, we are returning to Miller’s Orlando Ale House in Winter Park for yet another great season of viewing parties. Our Chapter has a large designated area complete with large HDTVs, sound system, and some other surprise specials throughout the season. Raffles will continue this season to benefit our scholarship fund.
