What is more intimidating than a stadium full of 110,000+ passionate Nittany Lion fans all dressed in white? Perhaps that question can be posed to the Buckeyes who will visit Happy Valley this Saturday.
Ohio State (6-0) has found quite a bit of success over the last 4 seasons, but has also found themselves in battles when playing at night in Beaver Stadium. With Penn State (4-2) playing a team with an undefeated record for a fourth straight game, it can be argued that they may have been tested enough to compete with the likes of the number two team in the country. PSU did enter this season with the second least number of seniors (12) on their team which dropped with the loss of linebacker Nyeem Wartman-White. With the Lions building their team’s depth through game experience, the outcome will come down to a combination of how the offense will perform on the ground with the Buckeyes focus on Barkley and McSorley as well as Penn State’s ability to slow the high powered Ohio State offensive attack. If our Nittany Lions are to win Saturday evening, they will need to keep it close by confusing the Buckeyes, protecting the ball and keeping the fan base energized. This would be the staple game Franklin and his squad have been needing.
